IANTD Cavern Diver Instructor
The IANTD Cavern Diver Instructor Development Course qualifies experienced cave divers to teach the Cavern Diver program, emphasizing essential overhead environment skills, proper gas management, guideline practice, and risk management within the daylight zone of cave systems.
PREREQUISITES:
Age Requirement:
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
Certification Requirements:
- IANTD EANx Instructor in active teaching status or equivalent
- IANTD Cave Diver or equivalent
- Must be qualified as an Oxygen Provider, CPR and Diving First Aid
Dive Experience:
- Must proof a minimum of 150 logged dives which 50 were cavern dives.
- Must proof a minimum of 25 Recreational Diver Certifications Levels
Duration:
- A 2 day Program directing the Instructor candidate to the methods and techniques of training IANTD Cavern Divers.
► NSS/CDS Cavern Instructors who are also IANTD Open Water EANx Instructors may cross over by completing a 1 day Program acquainting them with IANTD Standards and Procedures. - The IDP is to be staffed by one (1) Cavern IT.
- The candidate must assist in one (1) additional Cavern Diver Program, either prior to or during the IDP.
