Become a Diver Propulsion Vehicle (DPV) Instructor

The SSI Diver Propulsion Vehicle (DPV) Instructor course is designed to equip instructors with the skills to teach divers how to safely plan and execute dives using DPVs or underwater scooters. The course focuses on proper operation of DPVs underwater, maintaining buddy contact, and effective equipment control and maintenance. Instructors who complete this course are authorized to certify divers for DPV use at depths of up to 30 meters (100 feet).
